Tom Osborne vs. Dan Beebe

According to Steve Sipple of the Lincoln Journal Star, Tom Osborne is not exactly sure what to expect from this year’s BIG 12 meetings. Sipple quoted Osborne in reference to Dan Beebe “I’m sure he’ll have some things to say. We’ll probably get an officiating report on football and basketball. I imagine we may have some discussion as to how you start or stop the clock on an incomplete pass.” Tom Osborne also expressed fear that the Big Title Game could be played in Dallas indefinitely. Pelini was also quoted in reference to the possibility of playing in KC for the BIG 12 Title Game rather than Texas every year. He was quoted, “Bring on the elements.”

We would of beat Texas last year if it was played in Arrowhead. I am not sure if Texas would have scored at all. And it’s not a coincidence that the only former coach as an Athletic Director voted to have the Championship game split between KC and Texas. The rest of those BIG 12 Directors must only see $$$ signs. Beebe is such a Texas homer it’s sickening. I hope that Osborne gets in their ass up there. We need the Dr. Tom who is punching it in the end zone while up by 70 points demeanor.  Somebody has to stand up for the rights of the North teams even if the other AD’s are too blind to see what is happening. Anyone who thinks that Nebraska should be happy and content with playing in Dallas for the Championship year in and year out has no clue what home field advantage does for a team. Every Texas team has a home field advantage, even OU and OSU has a slight traveling advantage. And why do you think there is such drama surrounding the Super Bowl getting played in Jersey in 2014? It’s the same reason there is drama about the location of the BIG 12 Championship. Fair-weather teams do not play as well in the cold. I hope the drama is endless and I hope the rest of the BIG 12 knows, Nebraska is not putting up with the BS Beebe is trying to impose.
